We noticed that his eyes were getting a little drifty a few weeks ago. It's not very severe at all, and it's mainly an issue when he's tired or angry, but we knew we had to get right on it because there's a "lazy eye" on both sides of our family.
So, how does he look?

We definitely had a flail-filled half hour at first as he pulled and tugged at it, but eventually he didn't even notice it was on. What a good boy. Two hours a day for two months, let's hope he adjusts fast!
We even got a little "crazy" with the patches...you know, fun with Amblyopia!

What great little patches. We used to have to draw on Meredith's. Sometimes we drew closed eye with lashes. Wishful thinking, I guess. Sounds like you have a good doc. We did, and we owe a lot to him. Jacob looks adorable as his pirate-self. Good luck with the patching. He will get used to it. (so will Elmo!)You're quite a brilliant mommie.
What cute little patches! I also like his little hair cut! What a handsome little man! Lot's of littles in there eh?
We love you guys, and hope that baby comes SOON!!!
oh, that's cute. I like that Elmo is supporting him, too. My lil sis had the patch AND glasses at a young age. at least you don't have that to contend with, too!
can't wait to read the news about your little one!! I'm only 28 weeks and dreading the rest of the hot summer until our little girl comes in late Sept.
I read your blog all the time but am lazy about commenting.... hee he. can we still be friends???
He still looks absolutely adorable with his patch. I'm so glad he is cooperative with it. I love his haircut too! He looks so handsome!
All I can say is that I was always so jealous of Meredith with her patch. I wanted to wear them so bad. Because my mom tended her, everyday she would bring one with her. Of course I never got one. So I think giving one to Elmo was a great idea. We wouldn't want him to have adult disappointments!
What a Cute Pirate!!!! Good luck w/ that, I hope everything works out well. Good for you guys catching it early!!!!
I'm so sorry I haven't commented at all. I looks like you have all been having a very lovely and very fun spring and summer. Congrats and way to go on the new paint job-sorry we couldn't be there to help out. It looks soo great though!
