Sometimes it's not better the second time around

Little Mr. Nico is not quite the veggie-lover that Jacob is. I knew deep down that Jacob's great eating habits had nothing to do with me. I knew it. But I hoped that perhaps it was because I was an amazing mother who introduced healthy vegetables to her child early. Or just that I had stumbled upon a good vegetable-introducing system that would save me a struggle with our subsequent children.

How do you think my system is working with Nicholas?

Almost as well as the beef experiment of 2006.

I'm trying to think of a comment, but all I can do is laugh hysterically. I hope I haven't awakened any roommates. That is the best "Yuck!" face ever. EVER.

But you should not ever doubt your mothering skils. In this case, it's just that Nico's taste is in his mouth. Literally.

Mere alerted me to this funny post. This looks like a texture issue to me. See how he doesn't even want this mouth to touch the food on his tongue. Maybe a few more times. . .

Good luck.

awh, poor guy. With baby #3, I only spoon fed her applesauce and oatmeal.

she went straight to self fed solids around 6 months cuz it was easier for me (I'm lazy) and she was more likely to eat whatever I put on her tray without question. I just made sure it was all soft n safe and watched her closely (or at least cocked an ear for gagging sounds!).

good luck little guy.

I've always known you are a super-mom! Hve no fear, us other super-moms have had little to no sucess with veggie introduction either!
