Spelling Lessons

Jacob is the perfect little doorman. He holds the elevator door for you. He knows what button to push. He asks other elevator riders "What number you going to?" with an inquisitive point. He's a professional. (That happens when you live on the 8th floor.) The other day we were at IKEA and the up/down buttons were labeled "UP" and "DOWN". He pushed up and then said:

"Look Mommy, P-U spells 'up'!"

What an observant child.

P-U can also spell stinky! But don't tell him that! Seriously what a smart kiddo!

Oh, that is so cute/funny. I laughed out loud. I wish I could hear and see it in person.

I love the picture. Smart and cute Jacob. Snowing here like mad. Your mother is lucky to be tucked inside the cozy hospital doing well. Love you.

Just wait till Nico's old enough to reach the buttons. Then it will be an all out wrestling match each trip to see who gets to push them. (tears will be involved... maybe yours.) Good luck! :)

Love that funny boy! I can just see him taking his doorman role very seriously, and getting everyone to their correct floors. What did Chicago do without Jacob?..... and Nico as his able assistant of course!

I think he will grow up to be President of the United States! I will be glad to have his eye on things!
