Hee hee hoooooo

We just wanted to let everyone (all 4 of you) know that today is the day it all begins. This evening we'll be admitted to the hospital and start the induction. So, unless I go into amazingly fast and productive labor right now, the baby will be born on June 17th! We are so excited. And of course, now the nerves have set in. It's a little daunting to have all day to mull things over. Plus I'm not allowed to eat any solids today...just jell0, juice, popcicles and broth...so my most friendly comfort-vice of food is not available!

Any suggestions for how to make the day pass? So far I've thought of the following:

1. Unnecessary but time consuming house cleaning.

2. Eat, oops, nevermind.

3. Take a very nice, long shower.

4. Start suffering and write my masterpiece.

You know, the usual stuff. But I'm open to suggestions! Despite this long day, we are so excited and grateful to be having our baby getting ready to wing its way to us. Soon soon soon we'll know what it is! We love it so much. It's absolutely worth a day of apple juice and pacing.

We are excited today!!! As for things to do I can't think of anything better than watching the US OPEN. I'm sure your dear husband will help you find the TV channel. I know that the early rounds are on your favorite....espn. Just a thought! Good Luck and love ya lots.... Dad

You can't eat solids?!?!!! I am sooo sorry. I will take up the slack for you. Just remember those frozen peas of January! Those days will return after you give birth to this bouncing bundle of joy!
When did they change the terminology? I remember saying, "hout, hout, hoot" or shoot or whatever.... You'll do great. You are so prepared. Just breathe! Love, your mom in law
PS Is there a spell checker on this blog thing?

Hi Matt & Robyn,
I just discovered your webpage.. we are so excited and anxious for your 'it' to be Jake or Kate... Now, Robyn, if you want to wait until the 18th to deliver that would be just fine -- I could easier remember that date to coincide with C*C's wedding... We are so happy for you.
Love, Aunt Bev

I promise that I will stop being "anonymous" soon.

Yay! Or as they say in Russian, Oorah!! I am so excited for you to have this baby. Happy Fathers' Day to Matt.

Oh, and I was thinking . . . maybe brownie batter would be considered, um, not a solid? Just a thought.

Love you, Mere

Hello, maybe you are already ensconced in the pleasure of the very nice hospital your mother told us about. Maddie called me today and had a whole conversation with me just like a little adult. She invited me to her party. Just think, in three short years your little one will be calling me to chat (I hope). Do not watch the U.S. Open. You will bore your baby into snuggling right into inactivity. You must watch something exciting like the Diamonique show on QVC where you can imagine yourself on the "outside" glammed up for an evening out. The baby "out" and you and Matt "out." We love you both. We love you both and can't wait to hear of little Hutch's birth.

The last comment was from Aunt Lucy. Sorry.

Well I'm just heading off to bed, but I really wouldn't mind being woken in the middle of the night to hear those three little words ... it's a boy, or it's a girl! We'll take anything - not picky at this stage. Aunt Pam called to-night and so did Grandma and Grandpa Snow - both wondering the status. Well pleasant dreams to both of you inbetween contractions. Love you lots, Mom

I know you haven't had time to update your blog since the arrival of little Jacob LeGrand, but let me tell you we are all so excited here!! We would sure love to see some pictures and I'm sure that's on your agenda once you both get some much needed rest. Wow what a trooper you are Robyn, and what a great support you've been Matt all the way along. You two are just a great team! What a cute little family you'll be now. Well its 1 am here and I can't sleep. Wonder why? Hmmm....must be excited about something. \^^/

Take care

Love you lots, Mom
