Roll Cougars!

On this lovely fall Saturday afternoon I am on duty. Sports duty. Matt is away today and so it falls to me to update him on the components of a "perfect weekend".

This consists of a win for the Braves (but since they are not in the World Series I don't need to worry with them) and a win for Alabama. Oh yeah, and if he remembers the cougars, a win for BYU.

Even though Matt and I both graduated from and love BYU, the Crimson Tide are still by far Matt's team of choice. And kindof mine too. (Although my memories of having hot chocolate as I shivered through games at dad's side keep me loving those cougars.) So, Matt and I straddle two worlds and we wonder...where will Jacob's allegiance lie? Well, as long as we can dress him, we think with both! (Enjoy his collegiate duds and look closely at the details in the pictures...)

So we say to our blue and crimson teams (and grandpas), Go Tide and Roll Cougars! Or something like that.

And who knows, maybe he'll be wearing other colors someday.

H-O-O-R-A-H-! for this post!!! I tell you, I can not get enough of this baby. Maybe he can grace BYU with his all-around perfectness and end our embarrassing losing-streak? Call it charity.

Either way, the preppy-jock look is good on him (but really, what wouldn't be?). Good on the grandpas for decking out that incredible boy so well.

Hope all of your teams win this weekend!

Oh Mere, I love a faithful (slavish) reader. You are so sweet, and totally honest, in your praise of little Jacob.

Thank you! And po' BYU lost. Well, at least BAMA won.

Love you!

Robyn, It's one creative blog after another! Glad to see that you kept busy yesterday with Matt being gone:) I'm curious on how that Halloween costume is going...

Hee hee . . . I'm glad to see that Jacob has accepted President Hinckley's challenge and is reading his BoM. It is never too early to follow the prophet.

I love you too. Thanks for the fun call--it kept me going!!

I have shown this blog spot to about half of the office. They loved the boy in all his glory. Go BYU!!! ....although he really looked cute in his bama outfit. Paul in our office went to Harvard and enjoyed the link. Keep that boy happy. Love Dad

Shayleen: You make me feel so good about these posts! I have been excited about this one for a long time. Thanks for reading AND commenting!

Meredith: Oooh, look at you stacking our comment box. I guess I'm doing it too. But thank you. I really appreciated chatting Sunday night. And (just so you know) I sat down and enjoyed Together Forever, What is Real and Labor of Love in Spanish after we talked. The whole time I was misty eyed thinking "man these are great movies". I think my mission warped my thinking about church movies. Anyway...thanks.

Leland: I think we posted comments at the same time! I'm so glad you liked the post. I feel it was Grandpa-centered. I love that link too, too much. Love you more!

Wow, I feel left out. I was gone all week-end too, so didn't get to see Jacob in his team togs until today. I'm with Meredith. He looks very interested in that BOM. He might be getting teeth? Yikes! Where is the time going?

I mailed Mother the pics snail-mail. She can add them to the Jacob fridge exhibit.

Hope all went well with Matt's return. You two are the funniest. Enjoy the autumn weather!

We keep returning to these cute pics to have a chuckle. You know Meredith is your family's best fan. She is doing the big push to end strong at BYU, so her study breaks are wonderful if she sees Jacob on-line.

We read Carly's blog yesterday and laughed and laughed. Such a cute Baby Hazel.

Does Matt have to go to New Orleans this weekend?

Keep those pictures coming. Love to you all. Bye

It does look like Jacob is leaning towards the University of Alabama and has a desire to play football! Love Y'all!!!

Auntie Kelli says: Hi Robyn. Love the blog. Sometimes I go in and out of blog-consciousness. Today I had a moment when it was just as clear to me as ever, "Where's my friend Robyn? Ah! I think I'll check her blog!" Li'l baby Jake is just as cute as ever. Thanks for the pics.

He's soooo cute. And he looks like he's big now. How many months is he now? Have you shown him our videos yet? I mean, you are educating him about the finer things like sports teams and the BoM....

OHHH!!! He is so very cute!!! I love it! As we keep thinking Gideon is comming (I dunno, he seems pretty content where he is...I can't say that I am content, but Mommies don't always get their way.) I keep thinking of my HANDSOME nephew!
He is loved!

All I can say is this little boy seems quite pleasant when you think of all the poses and changes of outfits. You probably won't be able to get away with this on his 18th birthday. (Although it would be fun to see the duplicate shots.) Go BYU and Bama - how about those wins to-day!!
