Turning Corners

As I packed up all of Jacob's zero to three month clothes (mainly a bunch of onesies...I love summer babies!) a lump started growing in my throat. He is growing up so fast. And while I am a little emotional at the reality of this growth, he couldn't be happier. Here are some of his sweet new ways.

He gets engaged with toys and really concentrates on them. Especially the tags.

He can read.

He reaches for anything in sight. And he is an amateur monkey trainer, although here he's not taming it too well.

He eats his feet (check out the latch he's got on that big toe!)

He sits up (without the boppy now) and he has "morning face" when he wakes up. (This was the Eve of Christmas Eve, when Santa came to our house)

He has a new friend. He also met someone else this week who is also his friend. Although he is a little unaware that they're friends just yet. Unless Gideon has a bottle, and then they are no longer apathetic friends but the fiercest of competitors.

He can dance around on his hands and knees.

He can make cute faces like this.

He can make mean faces like this.

He can laugh when Grandpa Gamette & Uncle Jonny make silly faces at him.

And he can look terribly cute in a gray little bunting.

Beautiful pictures, beautiful people as usual. I am glad you had a wonderful Christmas and getting back to whatever is normal. What expressions on that little boy's face! I need to make tracks east soon! Love you all. And I loved the dancing video! Grandma Jan

I love the family pictures! Taken in Utah? Jacob is such a pleasant baby! I just did the same thing with Olivia's clothes (packed up the small ones), except some of hers were 18 months! I can understand why you would get chocked up over something like that:)

Such cute and fun photos! Jacob is growing up so fast but still such a cutie (and smart one too) It was so wonderful to see you three, thank you so much for coming over, it was great! We really miss all of you out in GA. Jacob acts and looks exactly as protrayed in the photos! Thank you for including us in all of your joy! We hope you are relaxing and just enjoying your new home!

Now that is one talented little boy!! What a gene pool he is fortunate to swim in. It was so much fun having you all out here for Christmas - and especially getting to know the little man. He is a total delight, and we look forward to seeing him again as soon as Dad can find me a cheap flight. :}
Love, Hilda

Grandmas, come one, come all. Just please give us 3-5 days notice in which to prepare for your visit (i.e. finish unpacking the horrific third bedroom, picking fresh flowers to put on your night table, procuring delicious chocolates for your pillow, etc.)

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments. Yes, he is cute. (: Love to all.

I was so tempted to call you when I was in Atlanta, but it was really early and I only had 3 hours. It would have been fun to see the little guy again though. Love ya!
