Nicknames are a fickle business. My name (Robyn) is a lightning rod standing tall in a nickname electrical storm. Robbie, Robear, Bosco, Bobyn, Robs...I've heard it all! So, naming Nicholas meant that nicknames would be a part of the equation. We're cool with Nick, but you just can't call a baby Nick. So right now we're sticking with Nicholas (much like Jacob is Jacob still and not Jake) and choosing less grown-up sounding nicknames. We've found that the winner so-far is 'Colas. It's sweet, it's unique and it's two syllables! Try it, you'll like it!

Meredith told me that the correct name for this hairstyle is a faux-hawk. Jacob had one too, but his had less Elvis to it. Nicholas's is very '50's rock and roll singer.
Also, thanks to everyone who voted that he looks more like me. I don't know that you're right, but it feels good to be voted for. (It's all just a big popularity contest...)

Colas is a cute nickname. Makes me think of Alberto's Cola. Makes me want to drink a Diet COLA. Mmmm. You have the cutest boys!
We want to know if this is an original Jacob nickname for Colas. We are reminded of our favorite---Pepsi 'Colas. This is a cute boy, Hutch Fam. We are glad to see his eyes open and his faux hawk. The digits are oh,so cute, too.
