Sick

Read this:

"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay,
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash, and purple bumps.
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in...--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is---Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

-Shel Silverstein

Now watch these:

The power of poetry. (Or the power of a little boy asking for the same poem over and over and over again on our walks.) (Or the power of Jacob's brilliance.)

Wow! That is so cute. Sounds like a poem that Olivia would love. I think Jacob is ready for The Pledge of Allegiance!

That is so cool! He is too little to be able to do that. What a cute boy. I think he should now learn Praise To The Man! Anika did it at 3 and it was so funny.

I never heard him say more than three words together until this poem. He is brilliant! And has a very, very dedicated mama of which I am so very thankful to have for two of my grandsons!
Much love!

Hi Robyn, Matt, Jacob and Nicholas,
I'm very impressed with Jacob's poem. He's going to be a fine orator. We followed along with him by reading the poem. Loved how he said "measles." What a wonderful family you all make. Jacob has grown so much I can't believe it. So has baby Nicholas. We laughed and laughed at his confused look and all that hair. So cute. Happy Halloween.

Love, Grandma G.

That is so darn cute! I'm so glad you got it on video-wow. I can't believe either how he can recite that, that is so great and awesome! I love those poems and grew up w/ them too. I really love how Jacob would go really fast in some parts. What a cutie. Man he's going to sweep all the girls off their feet-watch out!

Love, Chelsea

I've just watched ths video for the twentieth or so time. I laugh just the same as though I'd never seen it. What a treat to see Jacob being so cute and smart. Incidentally, the message just before Chelsea's is Gramma Great Gamette. We didn't make that clean. Love you all. Keep those vids coming.
