Halloween

Jacob was a basketball playa' for Halloween. He premiered his 'stoom at the ward primary Halloween party. The best part of the evening for me was that Jacob and I went just the two of us. I had forgotten what my life used to be like! (So easy!)

The best part of the night for Jacob was playing "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" with a clown.

On Halloween I told him "let's get you dressed" and then got him all outfitted. But every day since Halloween I've told him we were getting him dressed and he has shouted, "hawoween, trickatreet!" Sorry kid, just once a year.

His headband is very Watcher in the Woods, no? (I got a little creeped out just reading about it! Yikes!)

This is my house.

What a sweet follow-through.

If Jacob was a basketball player, what was Nicholas?

Ta da! (Please don't remind me how bad I feel that he was essentially a prop...it was so cute though!)

I guess we were all muses to Jacob's b-ball player. I was a referee (it was great, I just wore a whistle) and Matt was a goal. The family that dresses up together stays together.

We took the boys trick-or-treating to a few houses in our neighborhood and Jacob found out how much he likes getting food from ANYONE! Plus, most people gave candy to Nicholas so that Matt and I didn't feel too jealous.

We had about 4 trick-or-treaters come to our house because we live in the shabbiest little (though still lovely to live in) neighborhood within a much nicer area. Who wants to go to Grandview when you can go to Oak Hills, right? (Provo, I love thee.) Anyway, our FAVORITE Halloween visitor was Katie. She was an adorable little princess with great accessories. Who knew this would happen when I said, "say cheese"!?!

Lastly, I just want to point out that Nicholas made an adorable basketball.

And that he would have made a great player too.

Oh my goodness - I was smiling and saying, "so cute" through your entire post! I love your idea!(and isn't Jacob wearing blue and gold?) Did you make the basketball too? You look great Robyn! Are you sure you had a baby just a few months ago? What a great posting!

We've just been looking at the Halloween series, and my how cute!! Jacob does have a great follow thru - wonder where he learned that wrist action. Very creative - and you did a great job on the B-Ball Robyn...just perfect. Hope Matt didn't take too many hits to the face. :]

How DARLING! That basketball was SUPERB! You did such a great job making it! I especially liked the "spalding" written across it! I am totally impressed!
I can't seem to convince my kids Halloween is over either, the sugar highs are killing me! Thanksgiving can't come soon enough!
Love You!
