Dear Winter:

We are no longer friends.

You give me a cough that lasts a month and you give my kids multitudinous infectious diseases. These sicknesses seem to never overlap (ex. Jacob just finished a cold, so Nicholas spiked a 102 fever tonight -- which really happened). This never happens in summer. Explain that, would you please?

This means that our general enjoyment is diminished through sickness and by the fact that WE CAN NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE!

You'd better shape up sir.

Oh, and you came 2 months early.

Thank you.

Cute picture, serious issue. I'm with you. Winter: Take a Hike! Get a life, or find somebody else's life to ruin! I want my friend Mr. Robyn back!

Be sure and stand by the window a lot so you can absorb some Vitamin D. It helps to ward off the indoor, "can't leave the house" blues - right?

No fun for you Robyn! Hopefully Winter gets tame where you live so that you don't have a really bad winter of sickness. That is my wish for you today!

SO SORRY SWEETIE! I wish I was there to make you chicken soup, turn down your covers, and bring you kleenix. As it is, I will send my love from afar.

Ohhhh . . . midwest winters ARE brutal. Sorry. But I grew up in them and survived. My Mom actually used to crochet these funky little nose warmers that tied around your head. Since everyone wore them I didn't feel like a total dork. I think the only things not covered up when we went outside were our eyes. It's a vision of the boys in The Christmas Story. Hang in there, Spring is just around the corner! ;) Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't think of anything so clever to say, so I'll just say, "Sorry, I hope you get better soon."--Oh yeah, and don't even walk through the church nursery.

I so feel your pain. Add a little exzema and chapped lips into the mix, too. So glad you popped in at my blog; it makes me happy to know you're "watching." :)
